Description
Direct Soil Conductivity Kit
One of the laboratory equipment of the HI993310 Direct Soil Conductivity Kit is a portable rugged meter designed to meet the need for fast and accurate conductivity measurements in liquids and soils. The HI993310 Direct Soil Conductivity Kit directly measures soil solution conductivity in EC (mS/cm) as well as soil activity (g/L).
It comes with two probes, the HI76305 with stainless steel, conical tip for direct soil measurement and the HI76304 for fertilizer-enriched solutions. With HI993310, it is possible to directly and quickly and easily measure soil activity in the ground as well as the conductivity of different solutions.
Two different scales can be selected via two keys on the front panel, and two separate LEDs indicate which parameter is being tested. The EC range is between 0 and 19.99 millisiemens/cm with a resolution of 0.01 millisiemens/cm. EC calibration is manually one point. It can also measure the ambient temperature between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius.
The soil activity range is between 0 and 1 ppm with a resolution of 0.01. Automatic power off after 2 minutes of non-use when the meter is in measuring mode. This prevents battery drain if the meter is left on
general description Direct Soil Conductivity Kit
Soil activity, conductivity of nutrient solutions, irrigation water and saturated soil paste are important parameters for growers and gardeners.
With HI 993310, it is possible to directly measure soil activity in the ground as well as the conductivity of irrigation water, nutrient solutions and saturated soil paste in a quick and simple way.
The meter comes with two probes: the HI 76305 with a stainless steel conical tip for direct soil measurement, and the HI 76304 for fertilizer-enriched solutions.
The meter provides two different scale readings and comes with two LEDs to indicate which parameter is being tested.
The HI 993310 is also equipped with a warning LED that turns on automatically if the soil is too dry or lacking nutrients.
Calibration for conductivity measurements can be done with a simple knob on the front of the meter, and since conductivity and soil activity are correlated parameters, soil activity measurements are calibrated through conductivity calibration.
Conductivity measurements are affected by temperature, while soil activity depends on soil texture and water properties. Both probes provided have a temperature sensor that allows the meter to automatically compensate for temperature changes.
The Direct Soil Conductivity Kit HI 993310 comes in a splash-resistant case suitable for outdoor measurement
